LED photo rejuvenation
LED Photorejuvenation:
LED Photorejuvenation increases circulation by increasing the formation of new capillaries. New capillaries speed up the healing process and increase the ability of the tissues to receive more oxygen as well as more nutrients. It has also been shown to stimulate the production of collagen. Collagen is a major component of the connective tissue in the skin that creates strength and flexibility. Over time, the collagen levels in our skin decrease, causing wrinkles to form. This is complicated by sun damage and smoking which will also accelerates this process. Collagen is the essential protein used to repair damaged tissue and to replace old tissue. By increasing collagen production there will be a decrease of scar tissue formed in damaged tissues.
LED Photorejuvenation has also been shown to stimulate fibroblastic activity, which aids in the connective tissue repair. Additionally this procedure stimulates tissue granulation and connective tissue projections, which are part of the healing process of wounds or inflamed tissue.LED Photorejuvenation induces a thermal like effect in the tissue even though there is little heat produced by the light emitting diodes. The light raises the temperature of the tissue, which can kill or disable temperature sensitive bacteria and viruses.
There are many benefits to this procedure for a variety of conditions. This is the ideal adjunct procedure for patients receiving facials, peels, or Microdermabrasion. Here are some examples of LED Photorejuvenation applications:
